Have you seen this man...?
Welcome. Pull up a chair. My name is Bulent Yusuf, and this is my cosy little corner of the magical electronic interwebs. This is a personal blog about content, code, and the process of discovery while making things with generative AI.
I've spent my working life around words and the systems that publish them. This site is where I write about the stuff that interests me at the moment: using AI tools as genuine collaborators rather than novelties, and being transparent about where that helps and where it doesn't.
What you'll find here
You'll have immediately noticed that a recurring subject is the blog itself. Insufferably meta, I know, but it is what it is and we are where we are.
Posts tend to fall into a few buckets: hands-on accounts of building things, notes on the tools themselves, and the occasional longer piece about movies, games and popular culture.
The code
Much of this site was built in collaboration with Claude, and several posts document what that working relationship is really like — the good, the tedious, and the moments where a human still has to get their finger out.
The pictures
The cover images are made with Midjourney, in a deliberately consistent editorial style. They're part of the fun and part of the point: this is a site about generative AI that uses generative AI to make itself.
The mascots
You may also notice the author byline isn't always me. Two AI-generated mascots — Genial Yeti and Trippy Robot — take turns standing in, so my face isn't plastered on every single page.
The mascots are decorative but they also serve a purpose; Genial Yeti is going to be my gruff but lovable stand-in for a movie critic, while Trippy Robot will beep and burble their way through video games. Consider them the house staff.
Getting in touch
There are no comments, no sign-ups, and no newsletter on this site. All of that is deliberate and by design, because your private data belongs with you and certainly not with me, a charming stranger you've only just met.
If you'd like to reach out, however, the contact address is in the privacy notice. Also the full source for this site is on GitHub.
Thank you for visiting, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
